Fancy Nancy: Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth. It doesn't have the right number of pages, but the rest is right. They have no explicit sex, gratuitous gore or extreme violence. I have thought about this book for 35 years (my mom discarded it as a "baby book" when I was around 12 without consulting me!). In 1954, the Stratemeyer syndicate updated the series with Tom Swift Jr. books, but they lacked some of the magic of the originals.

Definitely Mystery at Crane's Landing by Marcella Thum. A search for hidden treasure leads to plenty of adventure as Tom and his not-quite-upstanding uncle find themselves kidnapped in Peru almost as soon as they step off the plane. However, in the last picture pigs are flying and there are no lily pads in sight indicating that the frogs perhaps used the lily pads but had the power themselves. There was also something about the magician helping poor children and animals in the streets of the city.
